SADA CAVI continues its journey of innovation and transparency with the presentation of a new video dedicated to SadaLab, the company’s recently accredited in-house testing laboratory.
Premièred during KEY ENERGY 2026 in Rimini, the video has been designed as a communication tool to bring the company even closer to the needs of its partners.
Why a video dedicated to testing?
In increasingly complex and regulated international markets, the quality and safety of cables are essential requirements, and customers demand ever higher guarantees. For this reason, SADA CAVI created this video to explain in a clear, quick and visual way the technical tests that the SadaLab laboratory is able to perform.

The aim is to demonstrate in an accessible way how the laboratory supports customers in meeting strict regulatory and performance requirements, helping to prevent application issues and ensuring full compliance of supplied products. Showing the processes directly is the best way to highlight the value of the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation issued by ACCREDIA (Laboratory No. 02306), which makes SadaLab test results reliable and internationally recognised.

What can be seen in the video?
The video takes viewers inside the laboratory, presenting the instruments and procedures designed to guarantee quality control. In particular, the narrative focuses on three key tests, united by the dual objective of ensuring Safety and Compliance:
- Electrical resistance measurement of conductors
The video explains how this test verifies the electrical conformity of the conductor. This is a fundamental step in preventing overheating, insulation degradation and the resulting risk of short circuits or fires. - Measurement of external diameters and insulation and sheath thickness
The images highlight the importance of verifying the correct application of insulation and sheathing, a vital factor in ensuring the electrical integrity and mechanical resistance of the cable. - Tensile strength and elongation at break
In this section, the video explores the equipment used in greater detail. It shows the splitting cutter in operation (used to remove internal grooves and reduce the sample thickness) together with the manual punching press, which uses steel dies to prepare specimens according to CEI EN standards. This test evaluates the mechanical properties of the materials, ensuring safe and long-lasting performance over time and preventing premature damage.

The video concludes by celebrating more than forty years of experience of SADA CAVI, an Italian company recognised as a reference point in the supply of cables for industrial, energy and civil applications.
Sealing the presentation is the motto that encapsulates the entire philosophy of the laboratory: “Quality you can measure.”
