Sada Cavi’s new automated vertical warehouse: innovation in logistics
Those of you who regularly pass by our headquarters have probably already noticed a significant new addition. A very visible one. The second, larger and more modern vertical warehouse has been completed. It has not yet been officially inaugurated, as the internal systems are still being finalised, but it has been clearly visible for several weeks now, and just a few days ago the new illuminated sign was installed.

The advantages of an automated vertical warehouse for logistics
In a constantly evolving sector, integrating advanced technological solutions is essential to deliver more efficient services and significantly reduce time-to-market. The adoption of an automated vertical warehouse, integrated with the core of our logistics management system — the WMS (Warehouse Management System) — allows us to digitalise and optimise all operations.
The benefits for logistics management are considerable: the system automates inbound goods identification, enables real-time stock monitoring, and provides unmatched support during fast-paced picking and order sorting activities. All this results in a drastic reduction in errors, consistently accurate inventories, and outstanding preparation speed — key elements in ensuring reliable supply and unbeatable fulfilment times for our customers.

The success of the previous facility: speed and traceability
As many of you know, this new and impressive structure complements and integrates with the other automated vertical warehouse already in operation — a highly successful facility that has enabled us to achieve excellent results over the years.
Building on what has already been achieved, our first automated system has allowed us to carry out custom cable cutting and packaging in extremely short times. Integrated with a space optimisation system, it has enabled real-time localisation of materials within the facility, drastically reducing reel picking times and allowing us to fulfil orders within 24/48 hours.
Moreover, our first vertical warehouse has played a key role in optimising the processing of wooden cable reels intended for cutting. Automation has streamlined the standard cable preparation process, ensuring that each reel is delivered directly to the machines, increasing cutting capacity and enabling faster deliveries, while maintaining the high efficiency standards of our logistics operations.

Greater capacity in the supply of electrical cables: what lies ahead
The new automated vertical warehouse has been developed precisely to replicate and expand upon the success of the previous facility. Working alongside it, its aim is to increase our storage volumes and elevate our sorting capacity to a higher level, supporting an increasingly fast and demanding supply of electrical cables.
For now, we prefer not to reveal all the technical details of this new structure or the systems installed. Further information on the innovations introduced will be shared once the warehouse is fully operational. Stay tuned to discover the next updates.
