SADASOLAR H1Z2Z2-K: SADA CAVI expands its photovoltaic cable range with the Dca AD8 version

The growing adoption of photovoltaic systems calls for components that can ensure reliability and safety, even in particularly demanding installation conditions. To meet these requirements, SADA CAVI is expanding its SADASOLAR range with the H1Z2Z2-K photovoltaic cable, featuring CPR class Dca and AD8 water resistance, designed to interconnect the various components of photovoltaic systems.

SADASOLAR H1Z2Z2-K Dca AD8A cable designed for photovoltaic systems

The cable is intended for fixed installations, both outdoors and indoors, and can be installed without protection, in conduits or in similar enclosed systems. It is also suitable for direct or indirect burial. The cable features a Class 5 flexible tinned copper conductor, insulation and an outer sheath made from electron-beam cross-linked XLPO and LS0H materials, and is designed for rated voltages of up to 1500 V DC, with a maximum voltage of 1800 V DC.

CPR class Dca: fire performance matters too

The new SADASOLAR version is classified as CPR Dca under the European Construction Products Regulation. The CPR classification identifies how a cable behaves in the event of a fire and is therefore an important consideration when selecting cables for installation in buildings and civil engineering works. The product datasheet also confirms compliance with EU Construction Products Regulation No. 305/2011 and conformity with EN 60332-1-2 regarding fire performance.

AD8 water resistance

Another key feature of the new version is its AD8 water resistance, tested in accordance with EN 50525-2-21, Annex E. This characteristic is particularly relevant for photovoltaic applications exposed to environmental conditions and for installations where cables may be subjected to significant water exposure. The cable also offers weather and UV resistance in accordance with EN 50289-4-17, as well as ozone resistance.

Performance designed for a long service life

SADASOLAR H1Z2Z2-K Dca AD8 is designed to operate with a maximum conductor temperature of 90°C under normal conditions and has an expected service life of at least 25 years under normal operating conditions. The range is available in 1 × 4, 1 × 6 and 1 × 10 mm² cross-sections, with either a black or red outer sheath.
